Thanks so much for watching the series finale trailer for The Amazing Digital Circus. For context, this isn't a real trailer that aired on the channel and likely won't ever happen. But it's fun to imagine an era where Disney appreciates indie shows like this. It's been 2 and a half years since I first made my first Digital Circus trailer. I didn't expect it to go anywhere, I thought it would flop just like the other 4 trailers I had made that year for my portfolio. But magically out of nowhere, it blew up 2 months later. And I had a flood of comments telling me to continue. I couldn't believe the view counts on these, it didn't make sense. But maybe it's because this wasn't a normal thing to exist on YouTube?
One thing I especially love is hearing the comments you guys post. I've probably read almost every single one that'd come in, and seeing how people feel like a child sitting on the couch watching the channel in their early 2000-2010's is touching. I grew up watching these channels all the time, and I'd have a weird fixation on motion graphics found on their television networks, starting with Playhouse Disney. And I guess it never really left me, crazy to see that there's other people who also have fixations on this same thing too! It's baffling how far my trailer's go now in editing compared to what the Disney networks produce for their commercials. It's like they got worse over the years as I was getting better at it! ?
It's saddening to hear the show has come to an end, Digital Circus helped me get my name out there, my works out there to potential clients, as well as get better at the craft and have more to show for clients to look through. Even though the couple of clients I did get from all this aren't exactly long-term contracts, I can still have this be a stepping stone for my portfolio moving forward. And yes, the job market is still atrocious, I still worry about myself getting any employment both online and locally here! Even if it's not in the video editing department, just any job! ?
I know I've said this a lot by now, but thank you so much for all this crazy support for my trailers over the years! Thank you for spreading this online, and for getting people in the know of these trailers. I never expected people from all different outlits, especially voice actors from Digital Circus, like John Whinfield, voice of ABEL, to see these. I do plan on making a trailer combining every episode of the series in the future. But I don't have anything to say on that at this time.
I'm unsure how long I'll be continuing to do these trailers, but, they'll still be here for you guys to re-watch again anytime! Or until Disney strikes them down, which I hope doesn't happen... ?
