From the makers of Coraline, Wildwood is a sweeping, darkly magical adventure about Prue, a young girl who journeys into a hidden forest to rescue her younger brother. Along the way she encounters warring factions, extraordinary creatures, and a world unlike anything she's ever known.
Wildwood is directed and produced by Travis Knight (Masters of the Universe, Kubo and the Two Strings). It is written by Chris Butler.
Inspired by Colin Meloy’s acclaimed novel, Wildwood brings an expansive fantasy world to the screen through LAIKA’s singular approach to stop-motion filmmaking. Characters, environments and intricate details are physically crafted and animated by hand, frame by frame, creating a world that feels both fantastical and unmistakably tangible.
Wildwood opens in theaters nationwide on October 23, 2026.
