Jailer 2 is an upcoming 2026 Indian Tamil-language action comedy-thriller directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, starring Rajinikanth alongside an ensemble cast including Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mithun Chakraborty, S.
J. Suryah, Vidya Balan, Mohanlal, and Shiva Rajkumar. The narrative follows retired prison warden "Tiger" Muthuvel Pandian (played by Rajinikanth), whose quiet life with his family is once again disrupted when he is forced to confront a dangerous new international underworld syndicate.
Balancing signature dark humor with high-stakes action, the film explores themes of loyalty, legacy, and justice across sprawling locations from Chennai to Kerala. Featuring a pulse-pounding soundtrack by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan, the highly anticipated sequel builds on the blockbuster success of its predecessor ahead of its worldwide theatrical debut in October 2026.
