If you’re upset that Mass Effect is dead and BioWare was murdered, I have some violent salt to rub in your heart wound.
EA was bought by Saudi Arabia for 55 billion dollars, but that required them to take on a ton of debt, and the first casualty was the studio known for the Mass Effect trilogy who was already working on the fifth entry into the series: Universe.
It was far enough into development that there was a full blown trailer that got released just a few hours after the shut down announcement, and fans are weeping in what could have been.
But don’t worry, EA’s said that the Mass Effect TV show on Amazon Prime isn’t necessarily cancelled.
