'CRUSHED' is a bleak new horror thriller from writer-director Simon Rumley, starring Steve Oram as a vicar whose faith is pushed to its limits when his young daughter is abducted.
Living in the suburbs of Bangkok, English vicar Daniel appears to have an idyllic life with his wife May and their daughter Olivia.
But after Olivia is exposed to a disturbing animal cruelty video, a horrifying chain of events begins that leads to the 10-year-old’s abduction.
Daniel and May are thrown into a desperate search for their daughter, confronting fear, trauma and the darkest extremes of human behaviour.
As Daniel comes face to face with unimaginable evil, the lifelong man of faith is forced to question whether he can continue to live by the beliefs he has preached — or whether vengeance will ultimately consume him.
Expanded from Simon Rumley’s 2012 short 'P IS FOR PRESSURE' from 'THE ABCs OF DEATH', 'CRUSHED' explores faith, revenge, forgiveness and trauma while also addressing issues surrounding child trafficking and animal cruelty.
