'THE DRIFTLESS' Official Trailer (2026) | Creepy Tales Of Midwest Terror | Horror | Red Owl Films

'THE DRIFTLESS' is an award-winning Midwestern horror anthology combining horror, suspense and science fiction with the folklore and distinctive landscapes of Iowa's Driftless Region.
Deep river valleys and towering limestone bluffs define a part of the American Midwest left untouched by the Ice Age glaciers.
But beneath its scenic beauty lies something far darker.
Guided by the mysterious owner of a rural antique shop, 'THE DRIFTLESS' weaves together four macabre tales involving masked cults along the Mississippi River, cursed liquor, time-altering artifacts and vengeance from beyond the grave.
As the region's secrets rise to the surface, those caught in their path are drawn deeper into a landscape where every attempt to escape comes at a cost.
The anthology includes:
'THE DRIFTLESS' – The owner of Driftless Antique & Oddities tells willing customers stories of mystery and the macabre.
'PAPA BAIT' – A couple's road trip turns deadly when they encounter a masked behemoth and the leader of a travelling Mississippi River cult.
'BOOZE' – An alcoholic country singer takes refuge in a remote bar, only for a drunken blackout to lead to a tense standoff.
'THE POOL KEEPER' – A successful businessman finds himself in a deadly thirty-year time loop after agreeing to help a mysterious hotel pool keeper.
Featuring: Ira Amyx, Torrey Hanson, Justin Marxen
Genre: Horror / Suspense / Sci-Fi
